SEATTLE 2018

Gerald Zion, Global Training Manager, Fluke Biomedical
INTRODUCTION TO VENTILATOR AND MEDICAL GAS FLOW/PRESSURE DEVICE TESTING
Participants will learn what different modes of ventilation may be used, and why testing specific parameters for gas delivery and concentration can increase or decrease the risk of injury to a patient connected to a ventilator or other medical gas flow/pressure device. A risk-based assessment of the frequency of testing will be introduced and worked through. The results will be compared to ventilator manufacturers’ recommended frequency of testing.
