Managing Large-scale Medical Equipment Installations: A VHA perspective

This session will explain a large-scale equipment installations managed by the biomedical engineers at VA North Texas Healthcare System. Speakers will explain the details of the process from planning to procurement to installation and to sustainment. The intricacies of the VA system and its relationship to the HTM department will be explained and the lessons learned from the experience will be provided. This session should help provide better guidance for newer entry-level professionals for managing large-scale equipment installations both from a VA and general perspective.
